Okey Ejibe

Vice President / General Counsel

Okey oversees compliance and regulatory issues at Sahel Capital, as well as is an integral member of the team’s investment transaction process. He has 14 years of experience in corporate and commercial law, with a major focus in the areas of regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, taxation, company secretarial practice, and corporate governance.

Okey started his career as an Associate at the law firm of Banwo & Ighodalo in 2006; and then later proceeded to KPMG where he worked as a tax adviser and became certified as a Chartered Tax Consultant. Prior to joining Sahel Capital in 2016, he worked at CWG Plc, a company listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange and with physical presence in four countries, where he served as the General Counsel and Company Secretary.

Okey holds a B.L. from the University of Calabar, L.L.B. from the Nigerian Law School, and an MBA from Lagos Business School. He is also an alumnus of Nanyang Business School, Singapore.
