Remi’s career spans 21 years in FMCG, across several roles in Manufacturing and Supply Chain Operations within the Food, Beverages, Chemicals, Home and Personal Care sector. He has been jointly and solely responsible for overall Business performance, operational excellence and sustainability at large Manufacturing sites and Commercial Territories.

Starting his career as Trainee Engineer in the energy and power sector in 1995, Remi joined the FMCG industry in 1997 as Management Trainee, and moved quickly through Process Control & Automation, Engineering Projects in Sorghum Malt Extract, Cereals and Maggi Bullion (seasoning), to Manufacturing Management in charge of Cocoa based Beverages at Nestle Nigeria. In 2008 he joined Reckitt Benckiser Nigeria and lead the project for in-house manufacturing of the golden brand Dettol (Soaps), and from there went on to Unilever Nigeria and Orbit Chemical Industries, Nairobi Kenya, as Operations manager and supply chain head in charge of toll-manufacturing for customers comprising top FMCG multinationals: PZ Cussons, Henkel, Colgate Palmolive, L’Oréal and Ecolab International. He expanded his experience into high speed Bottling operation when he joined Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling operation as Plant Manager for the Mega (11-line) bottling facility and 5 Commercial territories in Lagos, Nigeria. Prior to joining Sahel, Remi lead the commissioning, start/ramp-up and site migration of a green field Mega Plant project for the Middle East and North Africa Beverages manufacturing co. (western Saudi Arabia Franchise bottler for PepsiCo).

Remi holds an BEng in Electrical Engineering from University of Ilorin, Nigeria and MBA. in Production & Operations Management. He is also an SCMX-7 cohort of The Coca-Cola Company, Supply Chain Manager Excellent program!
